Moshate Media launched its first ever Township Business Expo and the My Growing Business Publication in 2015, which we held at the Walter Sisulu Hall, Kliptown Soweto – a unique initiative focusing on the massive potential of the township economy in South Africa.

With the focus being on entrepreneurship, support of SMME’s, BEE compliant procurement and the growth of township businesses, the expo and accompanying publication, directly reached a previously untapped market.

Benefits of participants:
• Directly interacted with SMME’s and entrepreneurs exclusively active in the townships
• Created brand awareness, loyalty and sales
• Disseminated information
• Communicated procurement opportunities
• Skills development and enterprise development
• Interacted directly with BEE suppliers

We had a great show in 2015, however it being our first show, we did have hiccups here and there, however the show was a success. We will be hosting the Township Business Expo in three different townships this year. Attached, please see the post show report from last year’s show and the 2016 concept document.
