MGB Mediation

MGB Mediation accredited divorce & family mediation,
accredited commercial & civil mediation. My speciality as an attorney was in family law.

I am an attorney by profession, I was admitted in 2002 and I practised for my own account from August 2007 until March 2014, when I went on to the non-practising roll as I decided to focus on my passion: mediation. In 2008 I began my training as a mediator and I have been mediating since 2009. I am a member of the South African Association of Mediators (SAAM) which is the regulating body for media

tors in Gauteng and I am accredited by SAAM as such according to the National Accreditation Board of Family Mediators (NABFAM) which sets the accreditation standards for family mediators. I am also a civil and commercial mediator and am accredited as such by the University of Stellenbosch’s Africa Centre for Dispute Resolution in conjunction with Conflict Dynamics. I also hold a certificate of accreditation from the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution in the UK. In November 2014 I was advised by the Department of Justice & Constitutional Development that I meet their accreditation requirements and have been appointed to the Department’s panel as an accredited mediator in the South African pilot project for Court-Annexed Mediation.

Most people think therapy is where you go to “get fixed.” But it’s not customer service, it’s self-study.
You don’t walk out in 50 minutes with your pain neatly packaged. You walk out knowing yourself a little better.

Sometimes therapy is talking through a heartbreak.
Sometimes it’s sitting in silence because you finally feel safe enough to. Sometimes it’s crying because you realise you’ve never been asked, “How does that make you feel?” without judgment.

Therapy isn’t about being broken, it’s about being brave enough to be honest. And no, your therapist doesn’t have it all figured out either. We’re just walking alongside you while you remember who you are 🤎

The family courts in England and Wales will no longer work on the presumption that having contact with both parents is in the best interests of a child. Abusers have long used the courts as a way of retaining control over their ex-partners
