Why does month-end keep surprising you?
You made sales.
Customers came in.
Work was completed.
Invoices went out.

But when you look at the business at month-end, you're still asking:
“Where did the money go?”
This usually isn't because the business has no financial information.

The problem is that the information is disconnected.
Cash says one thing.
Receivables say another.
Expenses are sitting somewhere else.

Projects may be profitable or quietly losing money.
And future commitments haven't even entered the picture.
