Joining industry leaders at the Agbiz (Agricultural Business Chamber) 2026 Conference

This years conference saw important conversations around the future of South Africa’s agricultural sector - covering everything from biosecurity and finance to collaboration and leadership development.

It was valuable to share space with industry leaders, stakeholders, and government representatives discussing how we can unlock opportunities, support farmers, and drive more sustainable growth across the sector.

A particular highlight was seeing the next generation of agricultural leaders in action, with some Signium Africa sponsored students and other young teams presenting solutions to real-world challenges facing South African agriculture.

It was good to connect with everyone Sean W. Chair Theo Boshoff CEO at Agbiz, Wandile Sihlobo Chief Economist, past and present Agbiz CEOs, the newly elected Steerco, Lukeshni Chetty Deputy Chair at Agbiz and CEO at Sansor, Mcebisi Jonas from presidency, Risenga Maluleke Statistician-General: Stats SA, Mooketsa Ramasodi DG Dept of Agriculture and Michelle Phillips CEO Transnet
