AI platforms are evolving quickly. The more important question is how organisations turn that progress into meaningful value.

Yesterday, we welcomed Erasmus, Head of Engineering at South Africa, to the BSG Exchange for a conversation about Microsoft’s Frontier Platform, its evolving AI strategy and what these developments could mean for organisations navigating their own AI journeys.

Three ideas stood out from the discussion: start with the right business question, connect AI to trusted organisational context, and govern every agent as carefully as any other digital identity. The conversation also reinforced that organisations need to balance governance with momentum. Responsible controls matter, but waiting for every condition to be perfect can prevent promising AI use cases from ever becoming real.

The session brought together members of BSG’s Architecture and Data & AI communities, alongside BSGers from across the business, for an open discussion with Dean.
