Am I leading my life or just experiencing it on a day by day basis?
We can consider that there are two ways to live our lives. We can either design it intentionally… or we just live it passively.
When we live it passively we practice:
• Default decisions being made
• Social conditioning
• Emotional reactivity
• Lack of structured reflection
• Non existent leadership thinking
What if we treated our life like the most important enterprise we will ever lead?

More motivation is not the answer.
We often try to fix life problems with emotional tools: motivation, inspiration, or reflection. These are important, especially in my work; reflection is crucial.
However, when we consider our careers and leadership, it is not always about motivation. A key insight for me has been that it relies on systems. The system that we create to lead effectively.
Life does not always depend on feeling ready?

from
• Participant → Designer
• Reactive → Intentional
• Busy → Structured
• Overwhelmed → Governed
The energy shifts when we go from improving our lives to leading it.

I could not help but notice the powerful reminder that when leading others, whether this is a company, community, team, or group, it all starts with our ability to self-lead.
When we consider what it means to self-lead, we see how it impacts how we lead others, and in the overlap lies the core of leadership.
The exciting part is that it is integral to my Personal Mastery and Self-Leadership Program.
