Rivonia BRT Station ๐ŸšŒ

Behind every project is a combination of engineering precision, skilled workmanship, and attention to detail.

As the Rivonia BRT Station nears completion, work continues on key finishing elements that will define the commuter experience โ€” from accessible pedestrian infrastructure and paving works to station architectural finishes and services installations.

The project reflects the integration of transport infrastructure and public realm improvements, creating a facility that is not only functional but also safe, accessible, and responsive to the needs of commuters.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ As part of the planning for the Joburg Comprehensive Integrated Transport Plan (CITP), the City of Joburg has already begun gathering key data and engaging stakeholders, creating the groundwork for deeper public participation in the months ahead.

Residents, businesses, and transport users will have opportunities to contribute and help shape the future of mobility in Johannesburg. As the project moves forward, the Joburg CITP will build a clear vision: a Johannesburg where mobility is easier, safer, and more accessible for everyone.

๐Ÿ™๏ธ Accelerating Inner-City Rejuvenation

The City of Joburg is investing in catalytic projects that will reshape and revitalise the urban core. From the Inner-City Eastern Gateway, High Court Precinct and Walkable Network to the Joburg Art Gallery, Jack Mincer Taxi Facility and Johannesburg Inner City Partnership, these interventions are creating safer, more accessible and vibrant public spaces.

By combining infrastructure investment, precinct revitalisation and public environment upgrades, the City is laying the foundation for a more inclusive inner city that attracts investment, supports economic activity and improves the daily experience of residents, workers and visitors.

As we reflect on the past, we are reminded that the future of our city lies in the hands of its young people. Let us continue to build, innovate, and empower โ€” together.
