mPowerRatings was started in 2003 to provide Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) related services to South African business entities. It was the first business of its kind to provide such services through the internet when it launched its website www.mpowerratings.co.za in 2004. The website continues to offer businesses/subscribers the ability to calculate complicated scorecards by simply entering ba
sic information on a variety of scorecards available, without incurring substantial costs. In addition to the above, the website was also designed to offer clients an online marketing platform, which includes the BEE status, description of the business, photographs, logos and search words by which to identify subscribers. This search facility continues to be used by entities such as fleet operators and large corporates. During 2010 mPowerRatings extended its services to include the performing of BEE ratings and the awarding of BEE certificates. Due to the change in the BEE landscape, it became a requirement to have BEE scorecards audited by accredited verification agencies. We are one of only a few agencies accredit by SANAS to issue the following sector scorecards:

During 2013, Mr Dijon De Jager (CEO) and Mrs Annalize Visser (Managing Director) extended their SANAS accreditation as Technical Signatories by successfully completing the Management Development Program for B-BBEE (B-BBEE MDP), conducted by Wits and UNISA. In June 2013, Mr Dijon De Jager, a South African Chartered Accountant, obtained dual B-BBEE accreditation through appointment as a Registered Auditor by IRBA (The Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors). mPowerRatings is now in a position to offer its clients a choice of SANAS approved certificates or IRBA approved certificates. With this dual accreditation status, mPowerRatings is now in the enviable position of being able to offer its clients BEE audits across all the sector codes, including Agriculture and Property. In addition to the above, mPowerRatings offers its established and sophisticated ProcureActive preferential procurement system. It offers clients continuous management of their supplier database with regular BEE reports in respect of the Procurement element. The massive database of BEE certificates maintained on the ProcureActive system frequently results in higher BEE scores for mPowerRatings clients. Clients:
