What began as a conversation is becoming a continental movement.

Across Africa, a new generation of scientists, clinicians, policymakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and advocates is asking a fundamental question:

How do we move from treating disease to building health?

How do we help Africans live longer, healthier, more productive, and more dignified lives?

In 2026, Afrolongevity is bringing together a series of strategic platforms designed to answer these questions and accelerate the African longevity movement.

The journey begins in Owerri, Nigeria, at the IMSU International Conference on Longevity (24–25 June 2026), where experts will examine the realities of aging, chronic disease, quality of life, preventive healthcare, human enhancement, and the future of healthy aging in Africa.

A few days later, the conversation advances to South Africa through the Longevity Science Forum Africa (29–30 June 2026), exploring how health resilience, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and innovation can become powerful drivers of economic growth and national development.

These gatherings are intentionally connected.

They are building momentum, partnerships, research collaborations, policy conversations, and continental leadership toward the flagship event:

International Longevity Summit Africa (ILSA) 2026
14–15 August 2026
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Under the theme, "From Biology to Society: Advancing Healthy Aging in Africa," ILSA 2026 will convene leaders from across Africa and the world to discuss the biological, clinical, technological, ethical, economic, and policy dimensions of longevity.

The choice of Addis Ababa is deliberate. As the diplomatic capital of Africa and home to the African Union, it represents the ideal meeting point between scientific discovery and continental decision-making.

This is more than a conference series.

It is a coordinated effort to position Africa at the forefront of healthy aging, longevity science, and quality-of-life innovation.

The future of longevity in Africa will not be imported.

It will be researched, debated, built, and led by Africans.

Join us on the Road to ILSA 2026.
