Throughout history we've seen how quickly people can become obsessed with something.
We've also seen how quickly they forget about that same fad and move on to the next. Why? Because it adds no real tangible value to their lives.

Now, more than ever, people are looking for valuable content. The pandemic has forced the whole world online, so everyone is competing for their 15 seconds of fame.
That's not to say that standing out isn't important, of course it is. That Is how you grab your audience's attention. But what's even more important is what you do with their attention once you have it.
The value that you add - the nuggets of information, the entertainment, the distraction from reality, or whatever your brand brings to the table - that's what will keep your audiene's attention and keep them coming back for more.

What kind of value does your brand bring to the table?

Have you ever been in a situation where you're having a conversation with someone that's fun, easy and relaxed, but then they seem to change their personality when someone else joins the conversation? If you have, you'll remember how confused and uneasy you felt.

When someone suddenly changes their tone and style, it creates a sense of apprehension and distrust, leaving you wanting nothing more than to duck out of the situation altogether.
People love being comfortable and knowing what to expect, especially when they are in a conversation. So if you're engaging with someone and their behaviour and language suddenly changes, your spidey-senses will start tingling. And the same holds true when brands engage with their audience.

The tone and style of your content helps your audience get to know your brand, it helps establish a relationship. If you change up your tone and style every other week, your audience will back out of the conversation and engage with a brand that lives up to their expectations.

How would you describe the tone and style of your brand? Let us know down below!

Creating content without a strategy is like throwing a dart in the dark and hoping you'll hit the board. Odds are you won't.
If you don't have clear understanding of what you want to say or where you want to share your content, and why, your message will likely not land.

If your content isn't relevant to your audience or the channel you use to distribute it, people will scroll by without giving it a single thought. And for small businesses, this is a huge missed opportunity!
Be sure to create content that adds value for your audience. After all, you're taking up their time so make sure every second counts.

Valuable content informs, educates, entertains or provokes thoughts from your audience. So plan your content and give your audience a reason to come back.

Not sure where to start? Don't worry! We can help you identify the best content types that you need to create for your brand and audience.

Your brand’s story is made up of facts and feelings. Whether you are actively creating this narrative or not, it exists. Every interaction, every touch point and every piece of content contributes to your brand's public perception and how people react to your story.
That’s why it’s so important to lead the narrative and TELL YOUR OWN STORY. There will be other authors contributing to your story, like the media, influencers and customers, but by consistently creating content that aligns to your vision and values, you can control the narrative.

Share your brand's story with us in the comments!
