The entire pool was cast into the house and entertainment area due to the dolomite problems. Fitted with a fully automated pool cover.

We extended all the bedrooms upstairs and rooms downstairs. We added a room alongside the kitchen to create the feeling that the entertainment area tied into the existing house.

We changed all the old Aluminuim windows and doors in the house and added an new covered entrance into the house. By changing the Balustrading to glass really opened up and transformed the house.

Lastly we retired the entire house and fitted flush plastered ceilings and retro fitted the kitchen.

In the entertainment area we repurposed the old wood flooring and used that as a cladding on the walls. This came out really beautifully.

Full 360 solution provided by the Urban Habitat Group from architectural [Urban Habitat Architects], interior design [Urban Habitat Interiors] to implementation [Urban Habitat Build]. We done to our entire team on a smooth process and a happy client.

The client for this apartment was looking to add a fresh look as well as some extra services to their home.

The existing kitchen was removed and some existing walls demolished to free up the connection to the TV lounge. In the TV lounge we removed the plaster off the western rear wall and sealed it.

This added some texture to the space as well as the warm red colour of the exposed clay stock brick. Certain walls were then painted a very dark grey to bring out that warmth and then contrasted with the stark white elements of the kitchen.

In the kitchen area a dropped bulkhead was added to firstly allow for some new LED downlights but also to allow for electrical infrastructure to cross over the space. We also installed a gas stove and an inverter with batteries connected to the mains so that the client can still continue with life when the power is down. The client also requested that we allow for infrastructure so that they can connect the home entertainment systems to the router in the kitchen area.

The bathroom space was a small area with little space to work. We removed all existing sanitary and installed a concealed toilet system with a larger bath/shower combination. Thanks to Marlin Amdur for the help with the plumbing.

A very big thank you to everyone who contributed in helping the school kids Cricket Practice Nets and Main Cricket Pitch of Laerskool Kommando.

A few large donations were not made and we are still looking for people to come forward and help were they can.This project came to over R57'000-00 so we still have a very big shortfall.

This could not have happened without one important person Marius Visser, who is the H.O.D of the school and in charge of sports.
