NOTINMYNAME INTERNATIONAL CALLS FOR A STATE OF EMERGENCY TO BE DECLARED REGARDING SPAZA SHOPS

Not In My Name International is saddened by the untimely death of many children who allegedly died after eating goods from spaza shops belonging to foreign nationals around the country. Our heartfelt condolences to the affected families and friends. There has been an increase in the number of children dying or being admitted to hospitals for suspected food poisoning across the country.

Not In My Name International calls upon the government to declare a state of emergency regarding all goods sold in spaza shops.

We further call on South Africans, especially those who reside in the townships, to mobilise themselves and peacefully help the foreign spaza shop owners to pack and leave their communities. This will not only save lives, but it will also return back the township economy to its rightful owners.

It has become apparent that we are on our own as South African citizens. The government of the day is standing on the sidelines observing as mere spectators the ongoing biological warfare on South African bodies through the sale of food not fit for human consumption.
