We have been seeing alot of TEMU SCAMS lately.
Please be aware!
Temu payment scams often involve phishing emails or SMS messages requesting additional payments for customs, shipping, or fake refunds. Scammers pose as Temu customer service to steal financial details, usually directing victims to unofficial payment portals. Never pay outside the official app, as legitimate Temu transactions do not require off-platform payments.
Common Tactics:
Customs/Shipping Fees: Scammers send SMS/emails claiming a parcel is stuck and requires payment via a link to receive it.
Fake Refund Portals: After a legitimate purchase, scammers claim there is an issue and direct you to a fake website to enter bank details for a "refund".
Too-Good-To-Be-True Deals: Offers that are unbelievably cheap or promise high-value items for pennies are often lures for data theft.
Fake Courier Links: Scammers use fake labels (sometimes branded as "SHIPPO") causing the post office to demand extra shipping costs upon delivery.
Unauthorized Charges: Some users have reported unexpected charges after simply browsing or receiving unsolicited items.
If you are concerned or think that someone is trying to scam you, please give us a call to investigate and advise you.
