In a few weeks I’m again speaking at a conference in South Africa.

Unlike me to be so prepared, I’ve almost completed the content for my two sessions.

This morning I received an email from the conference organizer with feedback to the abstracts I submitted months ago…I was a bit worried to open the email, in case they had completely different asks…

I’m very glad to see that I’ve already anticipated these requests, it’s what I do!

This conference draws industries a bit different from my usual following, it’s always exciting to speak with and learn from them!

Update to all my fellow self employed consultants- if you were aware of the FinCEN reporting requirement due by 1/1/25, seems it’s now delayed.

This was on my year end to do list, just got an email from my corporate attorney with the update.

Today was the pre-conference day at Controlling 2024 in San Diego.

This day is meant to give attendees a solid foundation for the conference main sessions on Monday and Tuesday.

Thanks to my amazing and incredibly smart colleagues, this day was a success!

After all these many years as a consultant, I don’t know what the secret is to earning client trust…I can only say my instincts are usually spot on and focus on earning trust through honesty and reliability.

Today was a big win for my team in the “trusted advisor” category, and my client will benefit for years to come.
