Quick owner tip for today: if you're not taking a deposit, you're financing your client.

You're buying the materials. You're paying the labour. You're covering diesel. All while waiting for an invoice that may or may not get paid on 30 days. And if it goes sideways, you carry the loss.

A deposit isn't cheeky. It's how real businesses run. 50% before work starts is normal. Even 30% changes the cash flow picture completely.

Try this line in your next quote: "A 50% deposit secures your date and covers our materials. Balance is due on completion."
