The Department of Small Business Development invited organised business formations and civil society organisations, to participate in a stakeholder feedback session on the Business Licensing Bill.

NAFCOC Retail Chamber, as an affiliate of NAFCOC, was invited to attend the consultation workshops hosted across various provinces. NAFRET submitted its formal comments on the Bill on 28 November 2025.

The purpose of the engagement was to provide an overview of the national consultations conducted throughout the provinces and to present feedback on the amendments made to the Bill as a result of submissions received from various stakeholders.
