Your project was supposed to cost a certain amount. Three months in, the project manager mentions during a status call that "we're running a little over." You ask how much. Nobody has a clear number.

The spreadsheet was last updated two weeks ago, the hours billed don't match the task list, and the contractor invoices are sitting in someone's inbox. By the time the real picture comes together, the project has already drifted past budget by 15% - and nobody raised a flag until it was too late.

This is the kind of slow-motion budget failure that project budget tracking is designed to prevent - not just tracking whether money was spent, but whether spending matches the plan at every stage of delivery.

This article shares 6 Project Budget Tracking Methods to Prevent Budget Drift: https://www.bitrix24.com/articles/project-budget-tracking-prevent-drift.php

Spreadsheets work. So do chat threads, shared folders, and the founder who remembers what everyone else has forgotten. Then the company grows. What worked for six people becomes unreliable at twenty.

Sales updates disappear into private messages. Project details sit in separate files. Approvals depend on whoever remembers the last conversation. New hires join, but the process they’re meant to follow still lives in someone’s head.

The challenge is knowing where to add structure first without burying the team in heavy software and unnecessary process.

This article shows where early-stage tools usually fail, which workflows growing companies should standardise first, and how Bitrix24 can connect CRM, projects, communication, and automation before operational friction starts slowing growth.

A new team member can learn your org chart quickly. Understanding who approves what, who needs to be consulted and who simply needs an update can take much longer.

That’s where a RACI matrix can help. It clarifies four types of responsibility:
• Responsible: Does the work
• Accountable: Owns the outcome
• Consulted: Provides input before a decision
• Informed: Needs to know what happened

The key is keeping ownership clear. Each activity should have one Accountable owner, while not every task needs to be mapped. Focus on decisions where unclear ownership could cause delays, confusion or rework.

A good RACI should make your business easier to navigate, especially when onboarding new employees or managing complex projects.

If you’d like to dig into the full approach, you’ll find it here: https://www.bitrix24.com/articles/accountable-roles-raci-matrix-onboarding-guide.php

The Service Delivery Handoff That Stops Context From Dying After Closed-Won

Most teams think that once a deal is marked "closed-won," the hard part is over. In reality, the most fragile phase of the client relationship starts immediately after the sale, when responsibility shifts from sales to delivery.

In practice, this transition rarely happens as cleanly as it should. The sales rep marks the deal "closed-won," updates the CRM, and moves on to the next opportunity. Somewhere in the background, a delivery team is supposed to pick up where the sales conversation left off. But nobody forwarded the notes.

The client's priorities were discussed on a call that wasn't recorded. The timeline the rep promised doesn't match the delivery team's capacity.

And the client? They just got a generic welcome email that sounds nothing like the tailored conversation they had with your sales team for the past three months.

This article covers 6 elements of a service delivery handoff that actually work.
