TIA Seed Fund Programme 2026 – Call for Implementing Partners (EOI Now Open)
The Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) has officially opened a Call for Expressions of Interest for the appointment of Seed Fund Implementing Partners. This call is directed at South African ecosystem organisations with proven capability to support early-stage, technology-based innovation from proof-of-concept through to commercial readiness.
What TIA Is Looking For
Implementing Partners with demonstrated expertise in one or both of the following stages:
1. Proof-of-Concept and Technology Validation
- Customer discovery
- Technical validation
- Early feasibility assessments
2. Technology Piloting, Market Validation and Market Access
- Pilot implementation
- Market demand validation
- Commercial readiness preparation
Services Expected from Appointed Partners
- Pipeline development and deal origination
- Pre-incubation and pre-funding support
- Screening and investment readiness support
- Technical, market, IP, commercial and financial due diligence
- Post-investment monitoring and reporting
- Portfolio management and stakeholder facilitation
Priority Provincial Focus
For proof-of-concept and validation support, priority provinces include:
Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape, Limpopo, Free State and KwaZulu-Natal.
Organisations not based in these provinces may apply if they demonstrate credible and sufficiently resourced regional delivery plans.
