To our Khayelitsha community
Our thoughts are with every family and individual who has been impacted by this severe storm. What many of our neighbours are going through right now is not easy, and we want you to know that you are not alone. KBF stands with you.
As the Khayelitsha Business Forum, we feel it is our responsibility to step up and help mobilise relief for those who have been hardest hit. People have lost warmth, shelter, and access to basic everyday necessities. The need on the ground is real and it is urgent.
We are asking anyone who is able, to please donate any of the following:
• Blankets – to keep families warm through these cold, wet nights
• Non-perishable food items – tinned goods, rice, pasta, anything that will last
• Clothing – for adults and children of all ages
• Toiletries – soap, toothpaste, sanitary products, and other basic hygiene items.
Please drop donations off at:
📍 The Old Training Centre, Khayelitsha
To everyone who has already been in touch to offer help, Siyabulela from the bottom of our hearts. It genuinely means everything to the people who are struggling right now, and it is a reminder of just how strong this community is when it counts.
If you are still thinking about whether to help, please do. It does not have to be much. A bag of clothes. A few tins. A blanket you no longer use. To someone sleeping in the cold tonight, that is everything.
