⚠️ URGENT ALERT: PLANNED POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – PORTIONS OF BEACONSFIELD AND HERLEAR – TOMORROW

⚡The electricity supply to parts of Beaconsfield and Herlear will be temporarily interrupted tomorrow, Tuesday, 20 October 2026.

Time: 10:00 to 16:00

Reason: To allow for roof repairs at Pullinger Substation.

- The interruption is necessary to ensure the safety of personnel carrying out the maintenance work.

Residents are advised to treat all electrical installations and equipment as live at all times, as the electricity supply may be restored earlier than scheduled.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation.

⚠️ALERT: NIGHTLY WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION TO BOOST NEWTON RESERVOIR LEVELS

🚰💧 This notice serves to inform residents that a Nightly Water Supply Interruption will come into effect this evening from 22:00 to 04:00 and is aimed at boosting Newton Reservoir levels.

The interruption follows excessive water losses emanating from a leaking valve on the 900 mm bulk pipeline at Droogfontein, which was repaired on Saturday.

An assessment on the possible lifting of the nightly interruption will be conducted on Thursday, 22 October 2026.

📍 Good News:

🚧📢 The new 1,200 mm diameter pipeline, stretching from Riverton to Midstation and ultimately to Newton Reservoirs, is under construction as part of the R2.5-billion Budget Facility for Infrastructure (BFI) water infrastructure upgrade projects.
