South African cities are planned around housing, roads and economic zones, yet they rarely account for something many communities experience daily: sacred space. For practitioners of African Traditional Religion, rivers, forests, mountains and even quiet urban green areas are living spiritual landscapes used for cleansing, healing and ancestral connection. These spaces are largely unrecognised in formal planning systems, leaving their use informal, often misunderstood, and sometimes contested. This raises a quiet but pressing question for decolonial planning: what does a city look like when we begin to acknowledge that not all land use is visible on a map—and not all space is only physical?

Some have asked “why only focus on females?”

Honestly, I cannot even answer that because this is not even about me. The higher power who has sent me said go out there and find those in need of what I will supply to you.

Xa ndinixelela inyani this is no longer about my birthday, it’s not about me. It is about what you and I can do together to help those who are battling to help themselves and to put a smile on those less fortunate than we are. I am just the face behind the drive and I am not alone.

I want to thank Siyabonga Xhantilomzi Yoli who has been there with me from the start, Phelokazi Bhelekazi StarMpresh Mbete, Camagu Ndaki to name a few of the people running around with me in the background hayke oo Khayakazi Nguye of Lihlombe Traders, BABY SWAG, Asonele Melapi, Zama-ThePatriot Ntshona, Sis Babalwa MaBhayi Mbuku of Ntombam Sanitary Towels and for not shutting the door on my face and telling me I’m crazy. They instead motivated me to continue with this life long dream I shared with them.

A very special thank you to those who have reached out, no amount of help is bigger than the other, or more important. UThixo usichukumisa ngendlela ezahlukileyo kuvaleke apho kudingeka khona.
