🌹 Why do we need to prune roses?
• Remove dead or damaged stems.
• Pruning will help more sunlight to come in. The extra light will result in better cell & rose growth.
• Pruning promotes overall growth.
• Pruning keeps the rose bush tidy & neat.
🌹 When to prune roses:
• In the middle of the winter until end August is the best time to start pruning the roses - depending on how cold your region is.
• If you live in an area which is not very cold, then you have to prune before end of July. If you live in a very cold area then you still have time till the end of August to prune the roses.
• If you prune too early, the intense cold can damage your roses.
