ALLSOUND SECURITY WEEKLY OPS REPORT

Week 7 September - 13 September 2026

Crime has increased in recent weeks with this past week seeing the highest recorded burglaries. Bicycles and Electronics have been the main target. We recommend that items such as laptops & cellphones be kept out of site. Keep bicycles secured in areas of the property with alarm detection coverage.

Please use your alarm systems at night by setting the stay function or arming perimeter beams. Many of the incidents reported have occurred at night - multiple suburbs targeted.

OPERATIONAL UPDATE

Following a residential break-in on Tuesday, 8 September, at a house along Salt River Road, dedicated Allsound Security officers worked tirelessly behind the scenes to assist in ensuring the arrest of the suspect.
When the owner of the stolen electronic devices informed the Allsound Control Room that one of the devices had come back online with live location tracking, screenshots were immediately shared with management, and an action plan was put into motion.
Allsound Management coordinated with local community members in Concordia and the SAPS Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) to locate the stolen items. Thanks to accurate tracking data, team members located a well-known repeat offender at an address in possession of a backpack containing stolen electronics.
The suspect and the recovered items were transported to the police station for further investigation. During an inventory of the bag, officers discovered that it also contained property stolen during a separate break-in at a house along Salt River Road on 29 August.
In total, the team successfully recovered 6 cellphones, 1 laptop, 2 soundbars, 3 watches, and 1 home theatre subwoofer.
We extend our sincere gratitude to SAPS, our community partners in Concordia, and everyone involved for their swift collaboration and continued efforts in the fight against crime.

The Knysna Sea Cadets help young people develop discipline, leadership, teamwork and practical maritime skills through activities such as boating, navigation, seamanship and community service.
