In South Africa, youth unemployment disproportionately affects young women. 🌟
As of Q2 2025:
• 57% of women aged 15-24 are unemployed
• Nearly 50% of women aged 15-34 are not in employment, education, or training (NEET)
• Black African women face the highest unemployment at 40.2%
• Young women often earn 6% less than men when they do secure work
