Back for the next chapter.

This Beechcraft A36 Bonanza returned to Aeronautical Aviation for the next stage of its avionics upgrade.

This time, we integrated a second Garmin G3X Touch, a Garmin GFC 500 autopilot and CiES digital fuel quantity probes, while modifying and refinishing the existing custom panel for the new configuration.

The result is a fully glass cockpit, built on the work already completed.

A Garmin G5 installed into this Cirrus, adding a compact electronic flight instrument to an already capable panel.

With a bright 3.5-inch display, the G5 brings key flight information into one clear instrument — with up to 4 hours of battery backup should aircraft power be lost.

Ever wondered where the fuel reading on your digital display actually starts?

Right here — inside the wing.

Our technicians are installing CiES digital fuel quantity probes to replace the aircraft's older analogue probes as part of a digital fuel quantity system upgrade.

Once the installation is complete, most of what you're seeing here will no longer be visible. What remains is the fuel quantity information displayed on the aircraft's digital display.

Never seen. Relied on every flight.

A battery that starts the aircraft isn't necessarily one with good capacity.

Voltage tells you whether it's charged. Capacity tells you how much it can actually deliver over time.

A battery can still crank the engine normally even though its available capacity has declined. Starting draws a very large current for a few seconds — this shows the battery can deliver current, not that it can sustain a load. It doesn't reveal what's been lost.

That matters when the generating system isn't available, and the battery is called upon as an electrical reserve.

A capacity test applies a controlled load to the battery and assesses its real-world performance against relevant specifications.

We carry out aircraft battery capacity testing, and batteries can be delivered directly to our workshop for evaluation.

A beautiful, completed Garmin avionics upgrade, integrated into a custom panel designed and manufactured by our team.

We also refurbished the yokes to the owner's specifications and incorporated a Guardian Avionics mount for the iPad — small details the owner requested and built into the finished installation.
