Every professional association should have a clear purpose. SAPPA exists to advance the polygraph profession while protecting the integrity of investigations and the rights of those who are examined.
Our Constitution sets out four key objectives:
✅ To serve the cause of truth with integrity, objectivity, and fairness.
✅ To encourage research, training, and continuous professional education, ensuring that our members remain at the forefront of international best practice.
✅ To provide a professional forum where knowledge, experience, and developments in forensic psychophysiology can be shared for the benefit of the profession.
✅ To establish and enforce high standards for membership, ethics, and professional practice, ensuring that the public can have confidence in SAPPA-accredited examiners.
At SAPPA, membership represents more than belonging to an association, it represents a commitment to professionalism, ethical conduct, continuous learning, and the pursuit of truth.
SAPPA – In Pursuit of the Truth.
