There are so many things we don't talk about in our Kasi entrepreneurship journeys which makes people think it's an easy space to play in. This vision of what townships could be is such a hard sell to the urban market and sometimes to township consumers as well.

Each installation has been in the making for a minimum of three years. The excruciating behind the scenes conversations, coercions workshopping, the blood, sweat and tears that goes into each activation is something that we don't talk about enough. All people see is the opening of the stores. And when there are delays...they are not a failure on our part but rather the nature of changing (mis)perceptions and reversing spatial planning and apartheid's legacies.

So after many stops and starts Vida e Caffe Langa is finally go 🏁. We are almost there with the most beautiful store which you will enjoy forever! In the meantime, we have a mobile for you, to keep your coffee needs met. Always.
