Lenasia residents,
My name is Jay and I rent a home in ext 2 Lenasia with my 2 kids aged 11 & 12. Currently going through a divorce, my kids live with me and I provide schooling, homework, projects, breakfast, lunch, supper, school lunch, washing, cleaning, cooking and just about everything that comes with taking care of kids. My only form of income is a carwash that I have been operating since 2013 from my various homes that I have stayed at and a mobile service on weekends. I have acquired the assistance of Faraz who is in a similar position, has no home or family to turn to and has teamed up with me daily to atleast stay alive if not live a life. We have work for Friday's, Saturday's and Sundays but this work only covers our rental and utilities for the month but not food or anything else. We have been trying to get a parking spot at CBD to operate our carwash during Monday to Thursday or everyday which ever works but cannot get a place to operate as there are already guys operating at almost every parking in CBD and have been there for a while and landlords dont want us clashing with them for work which we can understand. We were looking for a secure spot to open our carwash service as many have opened businesses on the side of our streets over the years but we can't seem to do the same.
I am asking if our community can assist us not with food, money or material things but to support our small business if you can so that we are able to support ourselves, teach my kids the lessons of hard work and how it pays off, contribute to our economy and it's growth and be able to battle our poverty if we can't escape it.
