Today we are actively commemorating International Mother Earth Day as part of theBreathe Better
Together project, implemented in partnership with Seriti Institute - NPC, City of Joburg and Breathe Cities .

Through school-based activations, learners are engaging in practical environmental activities that
highlight the importance of clean air, responsible waste management, and sustainable living.

Today’s programme includes air pollution awareness sessions, recycling demonstrations, and tree
planting, creating opportunities for young people to take meaningful action for a healthier environment.

One School, One Mission: Save Mother Earth 🌎💚

This , Seriti Institute is proud to lead environmental action across schools in the City of Johannesburg, in partnership with Breathe Cities and the City of Johannesburg, together with 33 community based organisations within the Breathe Better Together project.

From school awareness on air pollution to tree planting activities, learners across Regions A to G will take part in building cleaner, healthier communities.

This Earth Day, we are not just raising awareness. We are shaping a generation that understands its power to protect the planet and lead the change our communities need.
