It all goes into one bin… but it doesn’t stay together for long.
Plastic, paper, glass and metal might be collected together, but each material follows a completely different path once it enters the recycling system.
Some get shredded.
Some get melted.
Some get pulped and reformed.
Each one has its own process and its own value.
When materials are clean and properly sorted, they stay in the system.
Recycling isn’t just about throwing something away “the right way.”
It’s about keeping materials usable for what comes next.
