~ RMB Starlight Classics Returns to Cape Town’s Vergelegen Wine Estate ~

The annual showcase of performance excellence has provided a platform for the country’s finest talent in a tradition spanning more than 25 years.

Creative director Darren Hayward says RMB Starlight Classics presents an array of musical genres, from opera and classical music to rock and Afropop, and this year is no different.

As audiences have come to expect from RMB Starlight Classics, the repertoire is a convergence of classical music and classic hits, from the foot-tapping Jerusalema and Brenda Fassie’s Weekend Special, to arias such as Casta Diva from Norma and Ah! Mes amis from La fille du régiment.

Performances for RMB Starlight Classics will take place on 28 February and
1 March. Gates open at 4 p.m., so bring your picnic baskets and enjoy an unforgettable experience. The performances begin at 19h30.

Vergelegen wine will be available for purchase at discounted prices on the night, and no other wines may be brought into the venue.

Tickets are available from Quicket at R450 each.

Visited this week. Spent some time with my friend Arik. Great online store, https://soundselect.co.za/

Stumbled across these 2 gems.

Digidedign, now AVID, SC48 (I was there, 2011 I Think, when it was installed) I’m busy giving it some TLC. Already back to life. Will do a walk through when done. I will be availible to find a new home.

The next an Allen&Heath GL3800, not sure of its background. But it’s going to live on as a beautiful office desk.

For those who have not seen my studio “Desk” it’s a A&H GL4000 mounted at an angle on a custom Frame with Tempered Glass Top. Below is a pic showing a piece of it
