The Future-Fit Subject Choice Pathway was created to help Grade 9 learners make more informed and sustainable subject choices.

This process looks beyond marks alone. Subject recommendations are informed by aptitude, learning patterns, study habits, academic resilience and subject readiness to help learners choose subjects they are more likely to understand, manage and sustain from Grade 10 onwards.

The psychometric evaluations are completed online under the supervision & supportive guidance of a qualified psychometrist. Small group sizes allow for individual attention, meaningful interaction and professional interpretation of the results.

From Project to Practice: Making playful learning sustainable in schools

Teboho Makhetha from Care for Education will be presenting at the Playful Schools Conference 2026. Her session shares a system-level story of how playful learning was embedded in Foundation Phase classrooms through the Foundation Phase Initiative (FPI) in South Africa. This initiative was done in collaboration with The LEGO Foundation Department of Basic Education South Africa & UNICEF.

She explores how strong relationships with education coordinators helped support teachers at scale, and how playful pedagogy evolved from individual classroom practice into broader systemic change. Participants will be invited to reflect on the challenges, key learnings, and practical steps that shaped this journey.
