🌳 Arbor Week: 1–7 September 🇿🇦
This Arbor Week, South Africa celebrates the trees that sustain our communities, protect our environment and connect us to our heritage. 🌱
From 1 to 7 September, let’s get involved by planting and caring for indigenous trees, especially in communities where greening initiatives can make the greatest difference.
Trees help create healthier environments, support biodiversity and contribute to sustainable communities. Arbor Week is also a time to celebrate our natural and cultural heritage, including iconic trees such as the Sophiatown Oak Tree and the Sagole Baobab Tree. 🌳❤️
Let’s grow a greener South Africa—one tree at a time.
Plant. Protect. Preserve. 🌱🇿🇦
