Don't register a company, if you're not gonna operate. Just reserve a name. You'll end up owing SARS money. 🤞 This other friend of mine was busy asking me how can he owe SARS R 23 560 when he has never ran or operated under the company he registered. And it seems like most are now receiving letters from SARS via email. This other lady was asking a similar thing last month yena she owed SARS R 7000 or so.

You need to submit tax returns for the company if not operating you need to submit NIL tax returns ..coz every month your are being charged ADMIN PENALTIES for failing to submit tax returns for the company.....the faster you do these returns the penalties will not be charged.....

An exact round amount probably means it's non compliance admin penalties. Register for efiling, activate the public officer and then submit zero returns. Once that's done you can request for remission and SARS might decide to allow and reverse the penalties.

Again, stop registering companies when it's a start up. Rather reserve the name an pay around R 50, per 6months period to stop anyone from using it. And just operate till you're above R 50/60k per month or 60% above earnings. Then you can feel comfortable with tax.
