Today, members of Alert Patrol joined fellow security partners and law enforcement in a visible patrol across Oudtshoorn.
The patrol is aimed at providing reassurance to our community, maintaining a strong security presence, and sending a clear message that criminal activity and unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated.
Alert Patrol remains committed to protecting all members of our community, working alongside the South African Police Service and other role players to ensure that Oudtshoorn remains safe, secure, and united.
We encourage residents to remain calm, stay vigilant, and report any suspicious or criminal activity immediately. Together, we can keep our community safe.

ALERT PATROL AND UNIC SECURITY READY TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY SAFETY ACROSS THE GARDEN ROUTE AND KLEIN KAROO

As South Africa prepares for possible protest action and heightened tensions in certain parts of the country on 30 June 2026, Alert Patrol and Unic Security have activated contingency measures and enhanced operational readiness across the Garden Route and Klein Karoo.

As the largest integrated private security and response network in the region, serving communities from Mossel Bay, George and Wilderness through to Oudtshoorn and the greater Klein Karoo, our primary focus remains the safety and security of our clients, businesses, residents and visitors.

Our Joint Operations Centres are monitoring developments closely and maintaining communication with law enforcement agencies, community structures, neighbourhood watches and key stakeholders throughout the region.

Additional response resources have been placed on standby, including:

• Enhanced vehicle patrols and tactical response teams• Increased control room staffing and operational monitoring• Expanded incident management and communication capabilities• Additional support resources for critical infrastructure and business districts• Coordination with local authorities and emergency services where required

At this stage there is no indication of widespread disruption within the Garden Route or Klein Karoo. However, responsible preparedness remains essential.

We encourage residents and businesses to remain calm, avoid sharing unverified information, and rely on credible sources for updates. Community vigilance, cooperation and responsible behaviour are key to maintaining the stability for which our region is known.

Alert Patrol and Unic Security remain fully committed to protecting our communities and supporting public safety. Our teams stand ready to respond should circumstances require additional security measures.

The Garden Route and Klein Karoo have always demonstrated resilience, strong community spirit and cooperation during challenging times. We are confident that by working together, our region will continue to remain safe, secure and open for business.

🎭✨ Laaste dag van die 30ste Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees — en wat ’n Fees was dit nie!
By ALERT Patrol Security kyk ons terug op soveel ongelooflike oomblikke: van lewendige energie in die strate tot die vreugde op mense se gesigte, en die saamkuier wat hierdie Fees so besonders maak. Dit was vir ons ’n voorreg om deel te wees van iets wat gemeenskappe bymekaar bring en herinneringe skep wat nog lank sal hou.
Dankie aan elke kunstenaar, besoeker, organiseerder en spanlid wat hierdie Fees moontlik gemaak het. En ’n spesiale dankie dat ons saam met julle kon fees vier — veilig, trots en met hart.

Alert Patrol supporting the safety and well-being of our community —especially its most vulnerable members—remains at the core of what we do. Being part of an initiative that provided a safe, supervised space for children was both meaningful and rewarding for our team during the KKNK.
