⚡ Recent Project Completed | Eerste Rivier

Our Surge Elektro team recently completed the installation of a new Lucy RMU (Ring Main Unit) in Eerste Rivier.

The existing RMU had failed, causing damage to an 11kV cable in the process. Our team carried out the necessary repairs and completed the following:

🔧 Installed a new Lucy RMU
⚡ Re-terminated a total of 4 cable terminations
🔌 Completed the protection settings on the Fanox relay
🧪 Conducted VLF testing on the cables and RMU busbars before energising the system

Every step was carefully completed and tested to ensure the installation was safe, reliable and ready for operation.
