Promoting social development by supporting ethical trade, training and research initiatives and funding. Strategic support to cellars/processors and wine tourism destinations to enhance efficiency. Information transfer through the monthly WineLand magazine and annual SA Wine Industry Directory, as well as websites, newsletters and social media. Setting up various communication initiatives and forums with role-players in the wine industry, including the annual Nedbank Vinpro Information Day and other seminars, workshops and technical information sessions. Ensuring access to top quality plant material and specialised information management systems – via respective shareholding in Vititec (Pty) Ltd and Farm Management Systems (Pty) Ltd. Vinpro also plays a key role in facilitating the Wine Industry Strategic Exercise (WISE), a collaborative effort from all relevant role-players in developing a framework towards an adaptable, robust, globally competitive and profitable wine and brandy industry.
