Human Rights Day, 21 March

Human Rights Day in South Africa is historically linked with 21 March 1960, and the events of Sharpeville. On that day 69 people died and 180 were wounded when police fired on a peaceful crowd that had gathered in protest against the Pass laws. This day marked an affirmation by ordinary people, rising in unison to proclaim their rights. It became an iconic date in our country’s history that today we commemorate as Human Rights Day as a reminder of our rights and the cost paid for our treasured human rights.

Key Responsibilities
• General office administration assistance • Booking and moving of appointments in diary.
• Coordinate & follow-up with clients and service providers
• Meet timeous deadlines for submission and close off periods

Insurance Claims
• Receiving insurance claims
• Gathering all relevant information pertaining to the claim
• Comparing the claim to the relevant policy content to determine applicable action
• Following up on claims
Policy Administration
• Maintaining of policy documentation
• Reviewing policy to recommend amendments where required
• Verifying data entries
• Change/Update of particulars and Plan Schedules
Monthly Processes
• Following up with client to ensure satisfactory completion of task
Record Keeping
• Maintaining manual and electronic insurance records
• Filing and scanning of documentation as and when required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The applicant must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
• Computer literacy • Windows 10 and Office 2016
The Applicant must demonstrate the following skills:
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent Communication skills as well as a great command of the English language
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work accurately with high volumes under tight deadlines

Minimum Qualification:
• Grade 12/ Matric (Compulsory)
• Insurance/Finance qualification (Preferred)

Experience:
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required with experience in the Insurance Industry or as a personal assistant.
• Cold Calling is not required but will be advantageous however proper telephone etiquette is non-negotiable.
• Customer Service experience

Salary· • R 3 000 to R5 000 pm Basic
• Monthly Performance Bonus
