Marble Cake with Orange ZestšŸ˜‹

Ingredients:
1 cup (226g, 2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1¾ cups (210g) all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
4 large eggs, at room temperature
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup (200g) sugar
¼ cup (25g) cocoa powder, sifted
56 grams (2oz) semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
Zest of half an orange

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9″x5ā€ (23x12cm) loaf pan.
Cream together the butter and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, sour cream, and vanilla and mix to combine well, scraping the bottom of the bowl if needed.
Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix until just combined – don’t overmix.
Pour half of the batter into another bowl. Fold in the sifted cocoa powder, melted chocolate, and orange zest until smooth.
Dollop big spoonfuls of the chocolate and vanilla batter in a checkerboard pattern, alternating and layering to create a marble design. See video here.
Using a knife or skewer, swirl the two batters together in an infinity shape. (don’t over-do it or the marbling won’t look precise).
Bake for about 65-70 minutes—start checking after an hour until a screwer inserted comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then flip it out onto a wire rack to finish cooling.

Garlic Knots with ParmesanšŸ’•

INGREDIENTS
1 13 ounce can pizza doughfound in the refrigerated section
5 tablespoons butter melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley can also use 1 teaspoon dried parsley
3 tablespoons finely grated parmesan cheese
cooking spray

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a sheet pan with cooking spray.
Open the lay the dough flat. Slice the dough into 12 equal sized strips. Tie each strip into a knot shape, tucking the ends underneath each roll.
In a small bowl, mix together the butter, garlic powder, oregano, parsley and parmesan cheese. Reserve 1 1/2 tablespoons of the butter mixture for later use.
Brush the remaining butter mixture over the rolls.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with reserved butter mixture, then serve.

NOTES
1. You can use biscuit dough instead of pizza dough if you prefer.2. If you're a big garlic fan, you can increase the amount of garlic powder to 3/4 teaspoon or substitute 1 teaspoon of fresh minced garlic.3. I like to serve my garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.

EASY AND TASTY SOFT BREADšŸ˜‹

Ingredients:
5 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons fresh yeast
1 cup warm milk
2 tablespoons margarine
1 pinch of salt
1 egg
+/- 6 cups of wheat

How to prepare
1 - Put the sugar and yeast in a bowl and stir until dissolved, add the rest of the ingredients except the flour and stir well.
2 - Gradually add the wheat flour, always stirring when there is nothing else to stir, place the dough on the table and go kneading and adding flour.
3 - Knead the dough well, when the dough no longer sticks to your hands it is ready.
Return the dough to the bowl and cover it with plastic film (cover it well) and let it rise until it doubles in volume.
4 - Divide the dough into balls of the same size, shape to taste, make 2 cuts on top (if desired) and place in a greased pan.
5 - Bake in a 250 degree oven until golden brown.
6 - Spread on top with cold margarine (to give it a nice color), but if you don't want it, it's not necessary. success
