Hi Guys. I’m looking to employ a DTP Operator for a FMCG concern situated in the Natal Midlands. The person will be required to carry out the following tasks

Packaging design under guidance
• Create die-lines and artwork for various print purposes (litho, flexo, digital, screen print, etc)
• Prepare artwork for various print purposes.
• Manage the handing over the print-ready graphics to packaging suppliers.
• Attend and supervise certain sign offs.
Marketing support
• When needed, assist with creating artwork for websites and social media posts
• Create artwork for all types of marketing needs such as brochures, flyers, signage etc
Product labelling
• Oversee the high-level accuracy required, and the efficient designing requirements, of product labels for gifting, retail shops and manufacturing needs. Including export labelling.
Trade Support
• Assist with the designing of promotional material needed by the sales teams. (In-store wobblers, flyers, posters etc)
• Designing and maintaining all the different sales presenters (gifting, retail, foodservice, export etc)

• Filing of packaging artwork design and specs is kept up-to-date
• Complete graphics tasks within set deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Ensure labelling for production runs timeously
• Ensure Emporium printed items are produced efficiently
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Adobe Suite – Illustrator and Photoshop min 5 years’ experience
• Graphics design 3 year course or equivalent degree.
• Good Sketchup skills useful but not essential.

• Packaging 3 dimensional design experience and print industry knowledge minimum 3 years’ experience.
• DTP experience minimum of 5 years.
• No marketing experience needed.
Drivers license, own reliable vehicle and willing to travel to Merrivale daily is a pre requisite.

My client in the FMCG Industry is situated in the heart of the Natal Midlands and has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Warehouse Manager and Procurement Assistant. The role will suit a young, vibrant, energetic individual at a junior management level who is looking to take their career to the next level.

Overview of Responsibilities

· Responsible for effective replenishment of stock and maintaining optimal stock levels

· Responsible for good inbound warehouse practice

· Responsible for inbound goods stock integrity

· Responsible for maintaining warehouse systems and controls

Specific Responsibilities

· Manage stock replenishment accurately within the agreed parameters set by Supply Chain Manager in a timely manner.

· Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.

· Support Supply Chain Manager with obtaining comparative quotes.

· Manage raw material stock holding to ensure zero stock shortages.

· Identify and resolve all vendor invoice/purchase order discrepancies prior to the final invoice processing.

· Analyse stock holding and monitor seasonal trends to ensure material will be available for required production dates.

· Manage and sustain the input of information into the Material Requirement Planning schedule

· Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital.

· Flag any potential stock outs ahead of time

· Work with other departments within the business to ensure they have the necessary consumables.

· Coordinate the collections of raw materials with Fleet Manager

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

· Ensure all raw materials are received and stored according to good warehouse practices (FSSC 22000 requirements)

· Ensure the warehouse meets house keeping standards.

· Investigate receiving discrepancies – incorrect receipts, production requisition discrepancies and report findings to Supply Chain Manager.

· Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.

· Effective collaboration with production to ensure they have the materials and packaging needed.

· Deal promptly with reject/faulty stock. Chase upliftment and credit notes.

· Maintain the warehouse and the allocation of space for stock. Pack all received stock timeously and orderly into allocated areas.

· Issue all stock according to FIFO and FEFO principals.

· Ensure shelf-life register is completed on a bi-weekly basis.

· Review and report aged and expired stock concerns in advance.

· Ensure sub-contractor stock is invoiced out.

· Be responsible for the handling and removal of all waste timeously.

· Preparation and consolidation of month-end inventory stock count.

· Perform weekly cycle stock checks. Participation in inventory audits and cycle counts as required.

· Oversee recycling and waste area and prompt removal of cages once full.

· Complete Diesel reconciliation on a monthly basis.

· Ensure accurate BOM’s issued and returned materials from production captured into the system.

Specific Skills Required

Must have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and be able to use pivot tables and graphs
Must be analytical and proactive
Working knowledge of FSSC22000
Be able to compile and update Bill of Material Costings
Must have high energy levels
Must have people management skills
Must be a self-starter

Minimum Qualifications and experience

A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role

A minimum of five years of people management

A completed 3-year diploma or degree in either warehouse management, supply chain or similar

Completed Matric

Unendorsed Drivers License

Own reliable transport

Due to growth and expansion of operations, I’m looking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced HR administrator to be based in Merrivale. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:-

Take responsibility for the entire HR administration function.
Have a basic understanding and be able to apply SA employment legislation such as BCEA, Employment Equity Act, WSP and ATR submissions, BBBEE administration, LRA, COIDA, WCA and UIF
Be able to assume responsibility for the administration related to reporting IOD’s and following the requisite processes in order to finalize WCA claims
Deal with the NBCRFLI in relation to all administration as required.
Draft charge sheets and assume responsibility for the administration around discipline.
Assume responsibility for creating and updating various spreadsheets for HR stats
Collate and submit payroll related data as well as leave administration

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Completed degree or 3 year HR national Diploma, or reasonable progress toward attaining same. Minimum NQF level 6
Unendorsed drivers license and own transport
3-5 years of experience within HR
2-3 years of experience in the Road Freight industry
Knowledge of and application of the Road Freight Main agreement
3-5 years of experience in payroll administration.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills as well as a minimum of 5 years experience on working with Microsoft Office packages.

The Employment Equity Bill has been passed by the National Council of Provinces on 17 May 2022. This is the final step in terms of the parliamentary process. All that remains is for the president to sign.

The new bill will allow the Minsiter of Labour to set sector specific targets. Once the bill is signed, companies would need to compile new EE plans effective 01 October 2022. Companies will have the opportunity to align their goals and targets to the new sector targets.
