Today, we celebrate International 'Women in AI' Day.
Not just for the women building AI.

The women learning it, teaching it, creating with it.
The women questioning what it means for their industries.
And the women deciding that they will not be left behind by the technology reshaping their work.

At DARJYO, we believe women in creative industries should have a seat at that table.

That is why we are opening the conversation in Durban again.

"Skills Training in AI Animation for Females" is a free 4-week programme designed for women aged 18–35 in Durban, South Africa, including women living with disabilities, who already have some experience in animation, whether formally trained, freelance or self-taught.

AI is changing the creative industry. Women should be creating that future too.

Applications close 16 October 2026 at 23:59pm.

If you are a woman in Durban, South Africa, ready to explore what AI can add to your craft, this one is for you.

💬 Let’s make animation in Africa authentic, and AI-enabled.

A new opportunity for young women in KwaZulu-Natal to build with AI and animation.

Following the success of our first cohort, I’m launching Cohort 2 of my four-week AI Animation workshop: “Skills Training in AI Animation for Females" 📍 Durban, South Africa with support from the National Film & Video Foundation (NFVF) and the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme (PESP).

This initiative is about creating practical pathways into the creative technology space through storytelling, animation, AI and digital production.

I’m particularly calling on trusted organizations, community networks, educators and youth-focused initiatives to help us reach talented young women who may not otherwise come across an opportunity like this.

Who We're Looking for to Apply:
Females (or females with disabilities), aged 18–35, based in Durban, KZN, SA with some experience in animation (formal, freelance, or self-taught)

DARJYO's partnership with Intel extends beyond technology awareness, achieving Intel® Trust Authority strengthens our capability to help clients move from “we believe this environment is secure” to “we can verify that the environment is trustworthy & protected.”

We focus on the practical implementation of attestation, workload trust and confidential computing, helping clients establish whether the infrastructure running their workloads can be trusted before critical operations take place.

This capability is relevant to organisations deploying AI, cloud and data-intensive systems because it addresses a fundamental question: How do you know that the environment processing your sensitive data can be trusted?

For DARJYO, trusted computing is not simply about securing data. It is about establishing confidence in the environment in which that data and those workloads operate.

3 months ago I wanted to see what happens when real quantum hardware becomes part of an agricultural LLM pipeline.

The result was DARJYO-Agri-1B-Quantum, that uses live Quantum measurement outcomes from IBM Quantum's ibm_kingston (156-qubit Heron r2) to directly influence a classical 1B-parameter agricultural language model during inference bringing quantum-generated information into an agricultural AI workflow.

Architecture:
1. A 4-qubit quantum circuit runs on a real QPU.
2. The measurement outcome is mapped deterministically to a prompt modification.
3. This quantum-conditioned prompt is then fed to a frozen LLM (darjyo-agri-1b).
4. The result is a text output that varies with the quantum state.

Technical takeaways:
*Real Hardware: Not a simulator, nor a conceptual idea, these are real superconducting qubits.
*Measurable Effect: All 8 quantum-conditioned trials produced outputs different from baseline inference.
*Statistical Confidence: Fisher's exact test gives a p-value of 0.000078 (Cramér's V = 0.875), confirming the effect is not random.
*Interest: The model received 326 downloads on HF in its first 8 hours.

This is my small step toward hybrid quantum-classical AI. My goal was to see if quantum noise, harnessed correctly, can become a useful signal.

When I built CropSeek-LLM, the goal was never to push out a model for the sake of saying DARJYO has an agricultural LLM at the G20. That would have been easy.

Seeing CropSeek-LLM now being used across IITs and universities in to build AgriTech applications is not a small moment for me.

This model was built right here on home soil with a very specific view of agricultural intelligence. It had to work closer to the ground, closer to the farmer, closer to the messy realities of climate, crops, pests, soils, and uneven access to resources. It had to be practical, adaptable & it had to be able to travel across borders.

Watching it move into India's academic and innovation ecosystems, and be used by IIT students, researchers, and engineers working on agriculture, is exactly the kind of outcome I hoped for when I started building it.
A Real-world AgriTech Framework that people can actually build with.
