In February 2008 we started True North Mapping PMB and we supply GIS, GPS and CAD related work throughout KwaZulu Natal, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga.
The mapping services that I offer comprise of the following:
• Town Planning: creation of town planning scheme, zoning and land use maps, mapping for Spatial Development Frameworks, Land Use Management Schemes, rezoning, development application as well as township layouts and developments, conversion of CAD maps and GPS data into GIS format;
• Environmental: Environmental Management Framework Plans, Environmental Scoping Reports, Bio-Diversity Sector Plans, Environmental Impact Assessments, Soil Surveys and Land Use mapping, conversion of CAD maps and GPS data into GIS format;
• Forestry: in-field GPS mapping of various plantations for Mondi and Sappi throughout KwaZulu Natal and Mpumalanga;
• Agriculture: in-field GPS mapping and GIS map compilation of numerous private farmers throughout KwaZulu Natal.
• Training: I offer informal training courses on using ArcMAP, AutoCAD, Trimble Terrasync and Trimble PathFinder Office.
