Our best work is often achieved through collaboration with like-minded partners. This week, our team facilitated a Business Insights & Networking Session for FNB Business Banking clients. The workshop created an opportunity for business owners and leaders to step away from the daily rush and look more closely at how their operations shape the decisions they make.

The session was led by TLC Director Tanya Hulse. Drawing on lessons from some of TLC’s top experiential learning programmes in management and leadership, Tanya walked the group through techniques to recognise what is working within an organisation, where things might be getting stuck, and how to approach decisions with a clearer view. Amidst lively debate and laughter, the leaders engaged with new ways of looking at processes and culture, and shared their insights and learnings alongside informal networking with peers.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to partner with the FNB Business Banking team bringing this pilot session to life, and we look forward to many more such gatherings to spark conversations that help businesses move forward.

On Friday, we gathered to say farewell to Sarah, an emotional moment as we said goodbye to someone who has meant so much to our team. Sarah has been an incredible part of TLC, bringing care, dedication and heart to everything she did, and making a real impact on our clients and our work.

While we are sad to see her go, we are also excited for her next chapter as she takes the bold step of starting her own business. We know her passion will carry her far.

We know this isn’t goodbye but simply a new way of working together in the future, and we wish you every success, happiness and fulfilment on the journey ahead.

We’re officially welcoming Codi to the TLC team 👋

Codi joined us to gain work experience and quickly became someone we rely on every day. Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to step in wherever needed have made a real difference, especially in a small team like ours.

Codi will be supporting us with training coordination, helping ensure our programmes run smoothly for both learners and clients.

We’re not quite sure how we managed without her, and we’re very glad she's joined our journey.

Wrapping up the year with gratitude.

We celebrated 2025 with our team year-end lunch. Delicious food, many stories reflecting and a very relaxed afternoon together.

We close from 22 December and will return on 5th January. Time to recharge. Wishing everyone a wonderful festive season!

We had the pleasure of attending the KZN Lean Conference last week, hosted by Pietermaritzburg & Midlands Chamber of Business.

Each year we’re inspired by the keynote speaker and the incredible work our local organisations are doing to embed Lean practices into their operations.

This year’s keynote, Gary Peterson, shared powerful insights on Creating and Maintaining Successful Lean Systems and The Role of the Modern Leader in Engaging Teams with Lean.

We also facilitated a session exploring leadership styles and how effective communication can drive engagement and success across teams.

It’s always encouraging to see how the Lean community in KZN continues to grow and evolve.
