I have had the priviledge of growing up as a farmers daughter under the African skies. All through my life I have loved being creative and my outdoor lifestyle ignited my passion and love for nature. That's just the way I'm wired and really I feel so very blessed to have this talent. It truly is a gift from God. It feeds my soul! From initially starting my career as a Textile designer, I have taken a varied and colourful journey which has led me to teaching Visual art. I have also had pure joy in creating this wildlife series of pencil drawings. All the artworks are for sale..... originals and prints

Well we both retired from DPHS at the end of 2025 😜🥂and 2026 has been quite a gear change having time to nurture our passions and find ourselves again ❤️..and much of that journey so far has been through creativity🎨

There was no better way to celebrate our lovely Lucy Smith birthday.🌸..although very belated ..than with all my other "Specials"🌹 in my life (sharing 40+ years friendship)...doing what we all love to do..being creative! ..it started as a morning 🎨...then an afternoon🎨 and then for some an evening!🥳😁🎨🥂
I designed 6 canvases which made a bigger picture of a Beeg bowl with bright flowers cascading from it and then to add to the ambience I added a few butterflies... All of which I feel relates to the beautiful,sunny ,caring ,fresh soul our Lucy is.💕

So excited to have one of my Buffalo pencil drawing prints going on auction this weekend at Manyoni Game Reserve as they host their annual mountain biking Rhino Ride!🥂
So grateful to Fotomax who have mastered printing pencil artwork to a T....!🌟(Not easy I can assure you) and Frame Edge (Nagina) who has framed my Buffalo soo beautifully...I could not be more pleased...so over the moon!🥳😁
All proceeds from this weekends event/auction go to the amazing Rhino conservation..so I'm really praying my artwork can help contribute nicely to the cause!🦏🤗
Just had to add the ad for the event ...by chance the organisers chose a fun photo of my son Barry from last year's ride! I really hope this year will be just as successful and enjoyable!😁❤️🚴

An amazing day landscape painting at The Old Mushroom farm in Howick with very dear friends and ex colleagues Annemarie Levine and Beverley Johnston.The weather was glorious though a little hazy we could still see Albert falls in the distance behind layers of hills forests and farmland...soo inspirational!
Being creative in fresh air in the shade of a beautiful tree with kindred spirits listening to jazz George Benson and Bread was just the BEST!🥳🌟🎨
My cup is full!🥂
