Shine Brite Electroplating CC was established in 1983, we are specialists in the metal finishing industry and electroplating.

History of Shine Brite
The company was founded in 1983 and was originally located on Devon Road in Pinetown. We later located to larger premises which is the current location – 6 Shepstone Road, New Germany. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Shine Brite takes every step to ensure that we are environmentally friendly, abide by government regulations, and recycle chemicals wherever possible.

⚙️ Understanding the Process: What is Electroplating?

You see electroplated parts every day, but what is actually happening beneath the surface?

In short, a metal component is placed in a specialized solution, and an electric current bonds a thin, even layer of another metal, such as zinc, nickel, brass, or copper, directly onto its surface.

That thin layer does a lot of heavy lifting. It protects against rust and corrosion, improves wear resistance, and can add conductivity or a high quality decorative finish. The result is a part that lasts longer and performs better, at a fraction of the cost of a full replacement.
