Stub Fl**ges and Backing Plates

HDPE pipes can be fl**ge-jointed by using HDPE stub fl**ge ends in conjunction with metal backing plates and a sealing gasket to provide a demountable joint or to match up with pumps, valves etc.

Mechanical Compression Fittings

HDPE pipes 16mm to 160mm outside diameters may be joined by mechanical compression fittings.

Electro-Fusion Welding

Welding of HDPE pipes by electro-fusion couplings provides a homogeneous joint with end load bearing capabilities and the same corrosion resistance as the parent pipe. Electro fusion joints consist of resistance wires embedded into the parent material of the coupler which, when heated by the passage of a controlled electrical current, cause the surrounding HDPE material to melt and form a fusion joint.- enquiry [email protected]

Butt Welding

HDPE pipe systems can be joined by butt welding to provide homogeneous joints. Preheated pipes and/or fittings are joined under controlled pressure and temperature conditions. A suitably skilled and/or certified operator is essential to ensure adequate weld strength development.

We are manufacturers, suppliers and installers of High and Low Density Polyethylene and Polypropylene extruded pipe. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene high-density (PEHD) is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. HDPE is resistant to many different solvents and has a wide variety of applications.The rated working pressure of an HDPE pipe is determined at 20 ºC. Where the operating temperature of the fluid in the pipe exceeds 20 ºC, the pressure rating of the pipe has to be de-rated in order to maintain the designed safety factors of the pipe. HDPE pipe is not recommended in applications where the fluid temperature exceeds 50 ºC.
