Reputable Transport company looking for a QUALIFIED/EXPERIENCED SCANIA MECHANIC to handle all repairs and maintenance of a fleet of trucks.
This is a full-time position, which entails 24-hour availability, in case of any breakdowns.
The salary will be 37K (CTC), depending on experience and qualifications.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
· all mechanical and technical repairs of the trucks
· conducting routine and regular inspections of all trucks, including tyres
· ensuring all trucks are running at optimal levels and all equipment of trucks are maintained and functioning
· attend to the service of all trucks, where such trucks are not under warranty
· attend to all breakdowns, during and after hours, including weekends, if necessary
The suitable candidate should:
· Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with Scania trucks.
· Traceable references are a must
· Be of sober habits and no chancer
· Preferably have experience in Scania P410, G460 and R420
· Reside in Port Elizabeth and able to start soonest
· Experience in side-tippers and flat deck trailers will be advantageous
