A Buffalo Skull pedestal is an impressive way to showcase your Dugga Boy.

The tall wooden pillar pedestal allows you to move around the skull rather than viewing it against the wall.

If you’ve ever seen a hard skin with hair slip and a pinkish colour, it could be the result of Red Heat or Red Rot.

This condition is caused by salt-loving bacteria and can cause irreversible damage, leaving skins unsuitable for taxidermy.

Doug explains what causes Red Heat, how to prevent it, and how to produce the best possible canvas for preserving your valuable memories.

Want to learn more about producing great skins? Listen out for our next Taxidermy Truths episode, launching later this week.

Watch how we brought this complex story together through careful planning and exceptional craftsmanship.

From the steel structures that support the custom-sculpted Leadwood tree base, to the positioning of every limb, muscle and expression - this piece is built around the details.

One Baboon stands its ground, engaging the Leopard. The other is fleeing for its life. At the centre of it all, the Leopard’s intense focus captures the tension of this encounter.

This is custom taxidermy, Worth Remembering.

If you’ve seen two a Nyala bulls fighting, you’ll know it’s an explosive encounter.

They are known for aggressive battles over dominance, territory and mating rights.

Accurately capturing this confrontation requires careful attention to the body position, angles and musculature.

A moment, Worth Remembering.
