📍 Mining | 10+ years’ experience
We’re looking for a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer who can take a design from first concept through to close-out — and own the project along the way.
What you’ll do
Lead mechanical design projects from start to finish
Produce detailed designs, draughting and manufacturing-ready packs
Build and maintain bills of materials
Manage timelines, stakeholders and deliverables
Compile close-out reports at project completion
What you must bring
10+ years’ mechanical design experience
Proven project management on design work
Strong SolidWorks skills
Full-cycle design experience (concept → detail → manufacture/install → close-out)
Draughting and BOM competence
Mining industry experience

Sales Account Manager – Mining

Applications considered only from candidates who meet every requirement below. Mining sales experience is essential.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Account Manager to grow selected mining accounts and drive turnover. This is a hunter-closer role in a high-pressure, mining environment — not an entry-level or general sales position.
What you will do
Conduct needs analyses on predetermined mines and build a clear business plan
Implement sales strategies to maximise revenue and hit targets
Prepare proposals, quotations, reports, weekly reviews and forecasts
Deliver customer training and presentations
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
Keep accurate sales and activity records
Represent the business at roadshows, exhibitions and product demos
Monitor market, competitor and customer developments

Essential requirements (all must be met)
Proven sales experience in the mining environment with a track record of achieving targets
5+ years in mining
Ability to hunt and source new business
Fluent English and Afrikaans, with confident customer liaison
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Strong presentation, organisational, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
Self-disciplined, self-motivated and able to work under pressure while keeping an eye for detail
Medically fit to work underground (valid medical certificate or equivalent)
Clean criminal record

Advantageous: Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Sales; a trade qualification.

We’re hiring – H80 Long Hole Rig crew (Drop Raise)

Four vacancies - Water powered H80 LHR for drop-raise. Safety-first, production-driven team.

Drop Raise Shift Overseer – Supervise the H80 drop-raise crew on shift. Plan the cycle, allocate people and the rig, hit advance and safety targets, do inspections and legal appointments.
Need: Blasting certificate, Shift Overseer / Shiftboss certificate, 5+ years UG mining (2+ supervisory), H80 or similar longhole experience an advantage. Medically fit.

Drop Raise Miner – Set up and drill to plan, charge and blast in sequence, support ground, record production. Lead the crew at the face.
Need: Hard-rock blasting certificate, 3–5 years drop-raise experience, H80 or DTH water-powered rig experience preferred. Medically fit.

Drop Raise Operator – Operate the H80 LHR: set-up in confined headings, collar and drill long holes accurately, handle rods, maintain the water-powered DTH system and keep the machine productive.
Need: Experience on longhole / DTH / H80-type rigs, strong mechanical aptitude, UG mining experience. Relevant operator competency. Medically fit.

Drop Raise Assistant – Support the H80 crew: site prep, mark and plot holes, erect cradle / H-frame, fit machine, assist charging and clean-up before and after holing.
Need: Drop Raise Assistant certificate (or equivalent), ±2 years relevant UG experience. Medically fit.

What a week !!!

Electra Mining Africa 2026 is done — and it was a highly successful show for Hydropower Systems.
