Technician for CCTV / electric fence / gate automation / alarms

Responsibility:
Install, maintain and configure CCTV and access control systems, electric fences, gate automation and alarms.
Perform network programming of cameras.
Manage asset registers and stock control.
Diagnose and fault-find software and hardware related issues.
Software programming of alarms/systems.
Hardware and preventative maintenance and servicing.
Install network and cabling.
Integrate and network CCTV and access control.
Provide customer support.
Manage on-site installation of various products.
Diagnose technical problems and determine solutions.
Compile service reports.
Candidate:
Preferably a Matric certificate.
Valid driver’s licence.
Clear ITC and criminal record.
Minimum 4 -5 years’ relevant technical experience.
Preferably PSIRA registered.
Sound knowledge of access control, CCTV, electric fencing and gate automation.
Must be able to read technical drawings.
In-depth understanding of electronics.
Flexibility and willingness to work until the job is complete.
Must be medically fit, and able to work standby when required.
Location: Pretoria East

Do you have an electric fence? Are you sure it is working properly? The fact that the fence makes alarm when wires are touched, is only one of the functions of an electric fence. 90% of the fences that I inspect, is wrongly terminated and can result in fence wires been cut without making an alarm.
